Stephen Keshi Has Been Sacked and Discharged of his Duties

Breaking News: The Nigeria Football Federation NFF has just issued Stephen Keshi the pink slip, meaning he has been discharged of his duties as the head coach and manager of the Super Eagles of Nigeria who have inadvertently refused to fly, more or less soar like their name obviously implies.

After long hours of deliberation by the executive board members at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja, the board harmoniously and in one accord agreed to give he and his crew the axe, which was long overdue since his contract ended with the closure of the world cup. The board promised to sponsor he and his crew to any choice of coaching school that they would be interested in, to acquire more knowledge about the game. This sounds more like an insult and suffers credibility gap, if retraining of coaches ought to be done it should be pursued while he was still the coach of the super eagles, when he had the opportunity to impart what could be learnt into the team, which definitely would make an impact.

Shuaibu Amodu has been returned  as the team's interim coach and to be assisted by three coaches from the Glo Premier League - Salisu Yusuf (El Kanemi Warriors), Gbenga Ogunbote (Sharks FC) and  Alloy Agu former green eagles goalkeeper, who would be the goalkeeper trainer.

Why do they keep going in circles and expect different results, isn't this insanity on the federation's part? Maybe the team's next coach would be Onigbinde! after they've exhausted the list.

What's next Nigerians: A foreign 'Mr Livingstone' coach or another home-grown coach ? Your opinion counts people.
